Karen Durishin of Waterfall Acrylics is a Reston, Virginia-based mixed-media artist who has been working primarily with fluid acrylic paint and epoxy resin for the last three years.
Karen is self-taught and has been dabbling with Mixed Mediums, in one form or another, since 2014–recently deciding to pursue creating art full-time.
Karen’s work has been shown in multiple art galleries in the Washington DC area, and she is the recipient of several awards from juried shows. Karen is well known for her use of color and has a keen eye for composition. To date, she has sold over 500 pieces of fluid art and teaches regularly from her home in northern Virginia.

Karen is married and has a 13-year old daughter.
